Acromioclavicular Articulations Study



AP Projection



  1. Patient in an upright position;
  2. Upper limbs along the side of the body;
  3. One exposure without weights attached and a second exposure with equal weights (5% by the weight of the patient) affixed to each wrist;

Central ray perpendicular to the middle of the body at the level of the acromioclavicular joints.


Evaluation Criteria:

  • Visualization of the both acromioclavicluar joints without and with weights;
  • Appropriate exposure values (visualization of the all bony trabeculation and soft tissue).
